New Varsity Girls Basketball Coach

Deidre Lassiter was here last year as the JV head coach and the interim varsity head coach, when the varsity coach stepped down. We are excited that Deidre went through the interview process and is now our Varsity Girls Basketball Coach. Here is a little blurb from Coach Deidre:

I am excited to start coaching girls’ basketball at Front Range Christian School, because it gives me the opportunity to invest in young athletes both on and off the court. My goal is to help these young women grow not only as basketball players, but also as confident leaders grounded in strong character, leadership, and faith.

I am passionate about building a competitive, team-first culture that emphasizes hard work, accountability, and encouragement. At the same time, I want to create an environment where each player feels supported, challenged, and empowered to thrive alongside her teammates. Through basketball, I hope to help these athletes develop skills and values that will positively impact them far beyond the game.

I played basketball at Highlands Ranch High School for 3 years on JV and my senior year on Varsity. I was a starter in my sophomore, junior, and senior years. I played club basketball for Colorado Basketball Club for 3 years. In 2018, I played for the Barbados National Women’s Senior Team in a FIBA Caribbean Championship tournament in Suriname. I then went on to play collegiately at Division 3 Concordia University Wisconsin for 5 years, where I was a starter for 4 years.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and my Bachelor of Science in Justice and Public Policy from Concordia in 2024. I am currently earning my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia with an expected graduation of December 2026.

At FRCS, students are challenged to think for themselves: to pursue questions of purpose and faith; to think critically about the world around them so that they can engage it, not avoid it; to make their faith their own so that they can remain strong in it even after they graduate
