Elementary student clubs are now open for registration. We will add clubs to this list as the offerings expand. For detailed information about any of these clubs, please refer to the information you received at Registration Day or email the club coordinator.
Chess Club
Dates/Times: Mondays: August 31, September 21, October 5, October 19, November 2, November 15, November 30, and December 14; after school till 4:15pm
Location: Elementary Activity Room and Science Room
Students: 1st-6th grades
Cost: $40 per student (includes snacks and a trophy for the tournament winner)
Students will receive plenty of instruction and play time during this club. And there will be no waitlist this year! Players will be split into beginner and advanced levels to compete against others with similar skill levels. Kevin Sjursen will run the club with several helpers, including Grandpa Bob (Bob Berwick), Jacob Sherrill, and more, to provide personalized instruction and help. REGISTER HERE. Location: Practices at Normandy Park (but students will meet at and be picked up from FRCS)
Students: 1st-6th grades
A positive, safe, character-based running club for elementary students, where Coach Doug and Coach Tyler influence members towards a life lived in submission to Christ. From their website: “The focus is on having fun, competing against individual abilities, improving personal skills, being an encouraging teammate, making new friends, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.” Registration is now open for the fall season! Explore Club

Students: 2nd-5th grades (maximum 8 students per session)
Cost: $100 per student per four-week session (includes snacks and materials)
The Explore Club at FRCS has been established to provide afterschool opportunities and activities similar to our school day Explore Program. The Explore Club focuses on activities that will challenge, develop, and celebrate each student’s God-given abilities. Each week, we’ll have a snack, participate in a Think Tank, take on individual and group challenges, and have some time outside (weather permitting) to run off steam.
