Instructional and intramural opportunities for students in grades 3-6 are offered through South Jeffco and the YMCA. Private instruction is are also available through our partnership with a Karate studio located on our campus.
Elementary students are afforded ample time for play and physical activity through three sessions of recess each school day and weekly PE classes. Our goal is to develop a lifelong habit of physical activity by teaching skills related to endurance, flexibility, motor skills, and fundamental skills related to games and sports. Teamwork, appreciation of the gifts of others, and sportsmanship are all key in developing a sense of one body working toward a common goal.
Some Junior High Sports are available to students in 6th grade. Please contact the Athletic Director for details.
Elementary students are also invited to attend sporting events at the junior and senior high school. Many elementary students who participate in the Mini-Me discipleship program express excitement when they have the opportunity to see their mentors in social settings such as sporting events.
Junior Falcon Days
During each season of sports (fall, winter, spring), FRCS hosts Junior Falcon Days geared toward engaging elementary students and their families with our sports teams.
These fun and festive days include free admission to a game for elementary families; fun activities and prizes during half-time or other breaks; photo opportunities with Fearless, our Falcon Mascot; delicious concessions food; and more!
We invite our Junior Falcons to show their school spirit and cheer on their student mentors. Information about Junior Falcon Days will be available on our school calendar.
