Orchestra members from Englewood Arts

Symphony Spotlight for Elementary Students

On Tuesday, February 1, we were privileged to have an orchestra group from Englewood Arts present a live concert “Symphony Spotlight” for our elementary students in the FRCS Performing Arts Center (PAC). Thirteen members formed the orchestra, and each one presented information about his/her instrument and then played a short selection featuring the instrument.

The students were thrilled by the variety of music and even joined in by clapping along during several of the songs! They were deeply engaged throughout the concert, and it was a special cultural experience for them. It was especially fun for fifth and sixth grade students to enjoy seeing the instruments that they are currently learning to play!

We were thankful to be able to enjoy a concert at our school in place of the annual field trip.
