Junior High Lunch Update

Up until this point of the year, Elementary has been sharing Holy Grounds with Junior High during lunchtime due to the necessity of spreading students out based on quarantine protocols. Many elementary students have been eating lunch in their classrooms to maintain their classroom cohorts. Now that protocols are relaxed, we are returning to lunch expectations pre-pandemic.

This means that junior high students may go to Holy Grounds to pick up their previously ordered hot lunch, but they should not eat in Holy Grounds. The elementary will once again be using Holy Grounds for their lunches. Junior high students may return to the Commons, the Patio, the Lawn, or the Athletic Building to eat — all of these are supervised spaces.

Please also note that the snack counter is not open for additional purchases during junior high lunch due to the limited capacity of Holy Grounds staff and volunteers. The exception is Executive Lunch on Thursdays. During Thursday’s later, longer lunch block, junior high students may eat in Holy Grounds, and the snack counter will be open for additional purchases.
