A word from … Danny Cometto

Editor’s note: Danny Cometto is the current Board Chair of FRCS.

In a few days, my time on the Front Range Christian School Board of Directors will come to a close. With that transition approaching, I want to say thank you.

Over the years, our relationship with the school has grown through several different seasons. Kathy and I first experienced FRCS as parents, entrusting our children to this school many years ago. Later, through our business, we became a tenant on campus. Eventually, I had the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors and ultimately as chairman. Each role gave me a different perspective, but each reinforced the same truth: God has assembled remarkable people to serve His purposes through Front Range Christian School. FRCS has been a tremendous blessing to my family.

Like many parents, we hoped our children would receive an excellent education, develop meaningful friendships, and grow in their faith. What we found was a community of people who cared deeply about them and walked alongside our family through every season.

When I look back, it is not the major events that come to mind first, but the daily faithfulness of teachers, coaches, administrators, staff, and other parents. Teachers took extra time. Coaches spoke encouragement. Staff members knew our children by name. Through countless conversations, prayers, lessons, performances, games, and ordinary days, God used this community to help shape their lives.

Today, as Benjamin and Alexandra step into adulthood and pursue the paths God has placed before them, Kathy and I are deeply grateful for the role Front Range Christian School played in helping shape who they have become. As parents, we never walk the journey alone, and Front Range Christian School became a trusted partner in helping us raise our children. For that, Kathy and I will always be grateful.

As I complete my service on the board, I am filled with confidence for the future. I trust the Board of Directors that will continue this work. These men and women care deeply about the mission of Front Range Christian School, its culture, its people, and its long-term impact. They take their responsibilities seriously and are committed to seeking God’s wisdom as they lead.

I am equally grateful for our administration, faculty, and staff. Their work often bears fruit that may not be fully visible for years, yet they faithfully invest in students day after day. The influence they have on the lives of students and families is profound.

Although my board service is ending, Kathy and I are not going anywhere. We look forward to continuing to support and encourage Front Range Christian School in the years ahead. This school has played an important role in our family’s story, and we remain grateful for the opportunity to be part of it.

Thank you for allowing me the privilege of serving alongside you. Thank you for the investment you have made in our children, in our family, and in this mission. And thank you for continuing to support the work God is doing in and through Front Range Christian School.

With gratitude,

Danny

At FRCS, students are challenged to think for themselves: to pursue questions of purpose and faith; to think critically about the world around them so that they can engage it, not avoid it; to make their faith their own so that they can remain strong in it even after they graduate
