Since we needed to cancel the Senior Retreat this year, aspects of the experience have been divided into a multi-day set of experiences with one optional overnight. The first experience is The Solo.
The Solo is an expertly crafted, wilderness experience focused on silence, solitude, and reflection. Students on the Solo will reflect on what they love and what they want out of this life. The reflection that comes out of the Solo will define much of what a student pursues in Senior Seminar leading to their Senior Capstone project.
This version is an all day experience with seniors departing FRCS at 6:30am and returning at 6pm.
FRCS Dress Code for Student Experiences
(Retreats, J-Terms, Practicums, and AWE Outings)
General Reminder: Students are expected to follow the FRCS Dress Code for all student experiences. The following guidelines provide specific expectations for performance wear for students outings and experiences.
Ladies may wear:
- Full-length leggings (shirts must be long enough to cover appropriately).
- Spandex shirts (fitting within the dress code guidelines).
- Athletic tank tops (should have a three-finger minimum width on the straps).
Ladies may NOT wear:
- Short shorts (must extend at least mid-thigh length).
- Shirts or tops that are too revealing or inappropriate for the setting.
Gentlemen may wear:
- Athletic wear such as workout shorts, joggers, and performance shirts.
- Full-length athletic pants or shorts that adhere to the dress code.
Gentlemen may NOT wear:
- Short shorts (must extend at least mid-thigh length).
- Tank tops or sleeveless shirts.
