2023/2024 Middle School Cheerleading

Calling all girls grades 6-8 who are interested in cheerleading and tumbling at FRCS! The middle school cheer team starts up on Wednesday, August 16, and ends mid-December!

Practices

We’ll practice on the Elementary playground or in the Commons (Jr/Sr High Campus), depending on weather and availability. Practices run:

  • Mondays from 5:30-7pm
  • Wednesdays from 3:30-5pm
  • Saturdays from 10-11:30am with optional tumbling classes from 11:30am-1pm

We’ll cover a variety of skills during practices, including:

  • stretching
  • rallying/school spirit
  • cheers and chants
  • jumps and kicks
  • stunting
  • tumbling

What you need to know to participate

  1. Middle school cheer at FRCS is open to girls grades 6-8
  2. In order to participate, girls must have a current athletic packet on file (this includes the completion of a sports physical which is filled out and signed by a doctor)
  3. Cheer fees must also be paid, and they are $275
  4. Additional costs will include cheer shoes, tumbling classes, and optional squad-specific swag
  5. Parents are invited to attend a meet-and-greet with the coach on August 19, at 9:30am (before practice)
