Falcons App Q&A

Here are a few questions we’ve received about the app, along with answers or solutions. If you have a question, please email it to comm@frcs.org, and we will answer it (and possibly add it to this page for others in the community). For basic how-to information, check out the tutorial videos created for the app. This Q&A was last updated on January 8 at 12:46pm

Q: I can’t scroll down as I fill out a form to enter info into the other boxes. How do I enter info in all of the fields?

A: On some devices you can tap “Enter” or “Tab” to get to the next field. On other devices, you need to click somewhere outside the field box to make the keyboard disappear. Then you can scroll to the next field, and tap inside it to make the keyboard reappear.

Q: The calendar is loading very slowly for me. How do I get it to load faster?

A: The calendar is currently loading from our website, and the first time you load it, it will be slow (it’s a very technical reason having to do with embedded pages and server calls). After the first time, however, it will load much faster. We are working on a longer term solution for this problem, but for now, we ask for your patience in loading the calendar.

Q: I submitted my request to join. Why haven’t I been  approved yet?

A: Please be aware that approval of new members is handled by a human being to ensure that everyone who is a member is, in fact, a member of our community. While we work to approve requests as soon as possible, many factors may delay processing requests, including the time of day, the number of current requests, and other projects the administrator is working on. Please be patient and know that requests from members in our community are processed as quickly as circumstances allow. Requests from people who cannot be verified as part of our community will be blocked or the administrator may reach out for more information. This is for the safety of our community.

At FRCS, students are challenged to think for themselves: to pursue questions of purpose and faith; to think critically about the world around them so that they can engage it, not avoid it; to make their faith their own so that they can remain strong in it even after they graduate
