7th Grade Retreat Details

The focus of the 7th Grade Adventure and Community Building Retreat is Cooperation. Cooperation sets the stage for community building. The goal of cooperation is to provide a safe environment where students feel included and can learn to work together. Activities each day involve everyone, providing opportunities to build one another up, develop guidelines and boundaries for a good Jr. High experience, and help our students grow closer together as a class.

8th Grade Retreat Details

The focus of the 8th Grade Adventure and Community Building Retreat is Trust and Self-Awareness. Trust is the cornerstone of community—without it, a community cannot survive. It is the foundation on which relationships are built and community is all about building and maintaining relationships. Together, we focus on the Five-Finger Contract (Safety, Commitment, Awareness, Responsibility, and Encouragement), with an emphasis on students taking responsibility for their words and actions. We anticipate this retreat creating a stronger community of care and understanding within the 8th grade by bringing the students closer together as a class.
