A word from … Danny Erbaugh

Editor’s note: Danny Erbaugh is on the Board at FRCS.

We live in a world where truth is often seen as relative — where fact and fiction are treated as mere categories in a library or on a children’s bookshelf. Every day, our children are fed lies by an enemy whose goal is to steal, kill, and destroy them (John 10:10). Because of this, we are reminded in Proverbs 4:23 to “above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” As parents, we know that it’s not enough to guard our own hearts; we must also fight diligently to guard the hearts of our children as well.

That’s why I’m so grateful for the way Front Range Christian School partners with us in this sacred calling. FRCS stands as a garrison around the hearts of our children — a place where they are protected physically, emotionally, and spiritually by people who genuinely love Jesus and help our kids love Him as well. Each day, our children are taught by teachers who believe that Jesus is Lord over every subject and who approach their teaching with a biblical worldview. Whether it’s math, science, or literature, they help our kids see how every bit of knowledge points back to God’s order, creativity, and truth.

What I love most about FRCS is that the focus isn’t just on what our children know, but who they are becoming. The transformation of their hearts is as important as the transformation of their minds. Their education isn’t just about information; it’s about formation. Do they receive an excellent academic education? Absolutely! But they receive so much more than that. They are prayed for daily, encouraged to be who God has called them to be, and truly seen as unique image-bearers of Christ.

It brings such peace to know that while the world outside can be confusing and chaotic, within the walls of our school our children are surrounded by truth, care, and the presence of Christ. Parenting in this world is not easy — especially with an enemy as cunning as Satan — but I am deeply thankful that we don’t have to do it alone. Thank you, Front Range Christian School, for standing faithfully with us as we guard the hearts of our children.

At FRCS, students are challenged to think for themselves: to pursue questions of purpose and faith; to think critically about the world around them so that they can engage it, not avoid it; to make their faith their own so that they can remain strong in it even after they graduate
