FRCS’s News and blog page is a great resource for parents, students, and staff to stay up-to-date on the latest happenings and events at front range Christian school

A word from … observers outside our school

Editor’s Note: This week we wanted to take a moment to share some thoughts we have received from people outside the FRCS community about what they see God doing in our midst. Please be encouraged, and join us in getting excited for how God is moving in our school. Both of these stories are specifically about our senior high volleyball teams, but we have received these sorts of compliments and stories of encouragement from many parents outside our school over the years. Praise God for His work at Front Range Christian School and for the amazing coaches and teachers He has brought to us!

Letter dated September 1, 2026, from a parent of a student at Dayspring Christian Academy in Greeley:

I wanted to drop a quick note to compliment your Women’s Volleyball program and coach. Recently your team played a volleyball match at Dayspring Christian Academy in Greeley. My daughter plays on the varsity squad at DCA. I was one of the line judges during the game; I was so very impressed with your team. I am such a fan of what youth sports can do for students, teaching them invaluable lessons in life beyond winning and losing. However, it seems that most coaches and programs these days have put athletic performance and results over developing athletes into great young men and women. Not the case with your program. Some things I noticed from your coach: she never blamed the ref for a bad call. She gave great constructive feedback to the players when mistakes were made. She was passionate about the game, but never reached an intensity that was uncomfortable for her players or spectators. When the match went to a set 5, she spent the 3 minute break praying. I don’t know what she prayed for, but her posture lead me to believe it was for the students playing the game and their attitudes over the result. When the game was over she pulled both teams to gather for a group prayer. I asked my daughter what all was said in that combined huddle and she told me that your coach had her players go around the circle and compliment the various players on our team. What an incredible class act form a team that just lost a long, hard fought game. Congrats on a very well run program.

I wish you guys nothing but success in the future…. Something I believe you will have [with] some of the incredible talent on your team.

Cheers,

Matt Estrin

Letter dated August 28, 2026, from a parent of a student at Liberty Common Charter School in Fort Collins:

Good afternoon. My daughter plays volleyball for Liberty Common Charter School in Fort Collins. She had the honor of playing your girls last night. I was unable to attend, unfortunately.

My daughter was thoroughly impressed by your coach (not sure if was the head Varsity or JV coach). She said after the game she shared a beautiful story about one of your players and the power of prayer. She led your team in complimenting our players and concluded with a prayer. My daughter said she wanted to thank her for her kindness and prayer but didn’t have the opportunity. She said your coach was full of joy, light, and kindness while clearly inspiring competition and the same values in her team.

So compliments to you for hiring such an inspiring coach not just for your team but for ours. Thank you for the beautiful gifts she gave our team. Thank you for being a beautiful example to my daughter.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day and please share as you see fit with the coach and/or team. May God continue to work through your school and all within it.

Very Best,
Aislinn Kottwitz

At FRCS, students are challenged to think for themselves: to pursue questions of purpose and faith; to think critically about the world around them so that they can engage it, not avoid it; to make their faith their own so that they can remain strong in it even after they graduate
