Elementary student clubs are now open for registration.We will add clubs to this list as the offerings expand. For detailed information about any of these clubs, please refer to the information you received at Registration Day or email the club coordinator.
Art Club
Dates/Times: Mondays, September 8-November 17 (except October 13; fall break), from 3:15-4:30pm
Location: Elementary art room
Students: 3rd-6th grades — minimum 5; maximum 15
Cost: $270 per student (includes all supplies and snacks)
Students will dive deep into two different topics (5 weeks on each). Activities include various art projects related to each theme, reading books, and exploring simple studies on the theme. Topics are still to be determined, but two early contenders include nature and outer space. This club is open to all 3rd-6th grade students, no matter their current skill level. Chess Club
Dates/Times: Mondays: September 15, 29; October 6, 27; November 10, 17; December 1, 16; after school till 4:15pm
Location: TBD
Students: 1st-6th grades
Cost: $60 per student (includes snacks and a club hat)
Students will receive plenty of instruction and play time during this club. And there will be no waitlist this year! Players will be split into beginner and advanced levels to compete against others with similar skill levels. “Grandpa Bob” (Bob Berwick) and Kevin Sjursen will run the club with several helpers to provide personalized instruction and help. Cross Country

Location: Practices at Normandy Park (but students will meet at and be picked up from FRCS)
Students: 1st-6th grades
A positive, safe, character-based running club for elementary students. From their website: “The focus is on having fun, competing against individual abilities, improving personal skills, being an encouraging teammate, making new friends, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.” Registration is now open for the fall season!
