As my students and staff (past and present) will tell you, I LOVE a great cup of coffee! I am rarely without my insulated coffee mug in the mornings and usually end up leaving it in various places as I wander about the school each morning.
My most embarrassing school moment happened when I was teaching third grade and accidentally wore two different shoes to school. No one noticed until I rolled my chair to the front of the classroom to listen to each student give a book report. Suddenly, one of my quiet, sweet girls burst out, “Mrs. Hart, you have on two different shoes!” Needless to say, we all erupted into laughter. Years later, when that class graduated from FRCS, I was congratulating my former students on their accomplishment and asked what they remembered most about third grade. They unanimously agreed it was that fateful day I wore two different shoes — what a legacy!
