I love that Front Range Christian School partners with families to develop their child, not just academically, but spiritually, and personally. The school encourages students to grow in their faith while challenging them to think critically, serve others, and use their unique gifts to make a positive impact. I am excited to be part of this close-knit community and join the staff at Front Range by investing in students to live a life of purpose.

As a World War II enthusiast, three books that have made an impact on me both in my career and spiritually are:

• Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand (It’s the story of Louis Zamperini, who was captured by the Japanese after surviving 47 days on a raft in the Pacific Ocean following the crash of the B-24 Liberator he was in. His journey through resilience, courage, survival, captivity, and ultimately forgiveness illustrates redemption and the power of forgiveness in the face of extreme hardship.)
• Band of Brothers by Stephen Ambrose (This book tells the true story of Easy Company beginning with boot camp following the soldiers through D-Day, Operation Market Garden, Battle of the Bulge and ending with the capture of Hitler’s mountain retreat. This book stands out to me both spiritually and has throughout my career by emphasizing servant leadership, teamwork, trust, and sacrifice. All qualities that translate directly to professional leadership.)
• The Greatest Generation by Tom Brokaw (This book profiles ordinary Americans who accomplished extraordinary things through duty, humility, and commitment. The book explores their sacrifices, sense of duty and commitment to family and country. Ultimately, the book reinforces the value of service before self.)

• Spend time with my wife Jenny and our two re-homed Bernedoodles (Winnie & Chewy) at our family cabin where there is very limited cell coverage. Unplugged and off the grid!
• Home projects to include woodworking projects, yard work and gardening
• Fly radio control aircraft and drones as part of my Licensed Part 107 Pilot: Unmanned Aircraft System
• Hunting and fishing (which I don’t do nearly as much as I would like)

I would gladly eat Mexican food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cheese enchiladas and chili rellenos are the way straight to my heart!
