The Varsity Football Head Coach at FRCS is responsible for leading, developing, and mentoring the high school football program in a manner that reflects the values and mission of FRCS. This individual provides spiritual discipleship, build a culture of excellence and integrity, and guide student-athletes to grow in character, academics, and athletic performance. This position also provides many opportunities to invest in the lives of these young player/athletes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spiritual Leadership
    • Model Christ-centered character on and off the field.
    • Integrate biblical principles into team culture, communication, and decision-making.
    • Lead or participate in team devotions, prayer, and discipleship moments with athletes.
    • Create a culture of discipleship in the program.
  • Program Leadership & Development
    • Oversee all aspects of the football program, including training, practices, game planning,
      scouting, and player development.
    • Maintain a positive, disciplined, and encouraging team environment.
    • Teach fundamental skills, advanced strategies, and proper techniques emphasizing safety and
      sportsmanship.
    • Develop a long-term plan for the growth of the football program, including collaboration with
      middle school teams (if applicable).
    • Develop a grow the coaches and players at the middle school level.
  • Administration & Compliance
    • Collaborate with the Athletic Director to schedule games, coordinate travel, manage equipment,and ensure adherence to league and school policies.
    • Monitor academic eligibility and support student-athletes in maintaining high academic
      standards.
    • Maintain open, respectful communication with parents, staff, and administration.
    • Ensure program compliance with state athletic association and school-specific rules.
  • Player Mentorship & Development
    • Build strong relationships with student-athletes; serve as a mentor and positive role model.
    • Encourage discipline, teamwork, humility, perseverance, and leadership.
    • Provide guidance on offseason training, conditioning, and college recruiting (if applicable).
  • Safety & Facility Management
    • Implement proper strength and conditioning programs focused on injury prevention.
    • Maintain safe practice environments and ensure proper use of equipment.
    • Follow concussion, heat acclimatization, and emergency protocols.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated Christian faith and commitment to living out biblical principles.
  • Strong knowledge of football rules, strategies, and player development at the high school level.
  • Know the ins and out of the 8-man football rules and guidelines.
  • Ability to teach, motivate, discipleship and mentor young athletes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • CPR/First Aid certification and all other CHSAA certifications.
  • Ability to pass background and reference checks.

Description

The mission of Front Range Christian School is to partner with the Christian home and the church in training children for life and equipping them to impact the world for Christ. Front Range Christian School believes that coaching is an extension of the classroom. Front Range Christian School is a PreK-12 private Christian school with a high school enrollment of about 150 students. FRCS competes in the 2A Mile-High League and is a member of the Colorado High School Activities Association.

Pay

This is a stipend position, which is paid at the end of the season; stipend is up to $2500.

Do you have a passion for working with students who need extra assistance? Do you see that education is all about growth for each kid, even if that growth looks very different at times? Do you know how important teachers are in the lives of students who are struggling with differing abilities? If so, then we might have a position just for you! Front Range Christian School is seeking a Special Education teacher to assist students in our RISE program. Full-time and part-time candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualified applicants should have prior experience teaching or working with youth. Preference will be given to those who have a background working within special education. Candidates who have a minimum of two years of classroom experience and/or Colorado State or ACSI teaching licenses are preferred. Candidates who are pursuing Alternative Licensure in Special Education are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.

FRCS offers a great work environment. Our teachers and staff are given the opportunity to mentor students and serve the community alongside students to be a model of Christ’s love to the world. Our goal is to raise up Christian scholars, and our mission is to partner with the Christian home and the church in training children for life and equipping them to impact the world for Christ.

The salary range for this position is $30-40,000 for full time and $15-18 per hour for part-time, commensurate with experience.
