Rise

Developing the whole child by meeting students where they are.

RISE is a unique, Christ-centered educational program offering targeted instruction both inside and outside of the regular education classroom. RISE enables junior and senior high students with special educational needs to develop their God-given talents and abilities in a safe and encouraging atmosphere. RISE students are taught by nurturing, godly instructors and the program educates the whole child in social, academic, and spiritual areas.

RISE is for students who:

  • Have a diagnosed learning disability, ADHD, or other mild/moderate learning challenges
  • Require specialized academic instruction, accommodations, or modified curriculum for specific core subjects
  • Benefit from small group and differentiated instruction

RISE students receive an education tailored to their needs with an emphasis on real world applications. Each student has a Student Achievement Strategy (SAS) plan, a document similar to the public school Individualized Education Program (IEP). Specialized academic instruction can be provided inside general education classrooms, in RISE resource classes, or a combination of both.

RISE offers resource classes in math and English that take place outside the general education setting. These small class sizes (typically 4-6 students) provide highly differentiated instruction tailored to each student’s individual learning needs, allowing for greater opportunities for personalized support and academic growth.

In addition to core academics offered in RISE, students have the opportunity to participate in electives, sports, theater, music, and other extracurriculars (when appropriate) with the greater FRCS student body providing a rich experience for students with special educational needs. Additionally, RISE students participate in school-wide activities such as chapel, dGroups, J-Term, Practicum, and more.

RISE offers competitive tuition rates and is a one-of-a-kind, faith-based educational program for students with learning needs.

RISE Application Requirements

  • Any additional diagnostic test results from the last three years:
