Are you passionate about education and students in elementary grades? Do you enjoy teaching all subjects from a Biblical worldview to inspire and challenge your students? Do you have an elementary education degree and a track record of success in teaching elementary school children? If so, we might have the opening for you. Front Range Christian School is seeking applicants for a 5th grade teacher in our elementary program. Qualified candidates will have the minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or an education-related field and at least 2 years of teaching experience (preferred). A Colorado State Teaching License is preferred but not required. Candidates must be active and passionate followers of Jesus Christ and have a calling to serve Christ in the classroom. This full-time position is open for the 2026/2027 school year.

Qualified applicants will possess the following:

  • Effective management of the classroom with consistent and compassionate enforcement of established school-wide expectations for behavior and conduct
  • A strong background in teaching phonics-based reading
  • Ability to prepare lesson plans, materials, and media to support instruction based on established curriculum scope and sequence
  • Proven experience instructing students individually and in groups, using a variety of teaching methods, strategies and technologies.
  • Strength in observing and evaluating students’ performance, behavior, social and spiritual development, and physical health and then plan instruction accordingly; is able to adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests
  • Willingness to meet and communicate regularly with parents by phone, email and in person
  • Consistency in integrating a Biblical worldview throughout all core subject instruction
  • Desire to plan outside instructional opportunities (field trips, guest experts) to enhance learning
  • Track record of teaching students to think and planning instruction based on higher order thinking; plans instruction in order to engage all students through inquiry, observation, examination, questioning and demonstration
  • The attitude of a lifelong learner with a humble, teachable spirit, able to receive constructive feedback and pursue personal excellence in instruction
  • A willingness to participate in and contribute to a cohesive K-12 instructional emphasis (scope and sequence) through regular interaction with junior and senior high school teachers

Pay is commensurate with experience and starts at $40,000 annually. Full-time employees receive medical and dental insurance, which is covered by the school (spouse and children may be added for a cost). Vision insurance is also available.

General Description: To assist the elementary office manager and elementary principal in the operations of the Front Range Christian Elementary School.

Qualifications: Warm, friendly personality; enjoys working with children and the public; carries themself in a professional manner; possesses good communication skills; organized and self-motivated.

Duration of Position: Renewed annually

School Day Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays when school is in session.

Start Date: First day of school (hours prior to the first day of school determined by Elementary Office Manager.)

Reports to: Reports directly to the Elementary Office Manager

Pay: $15.45/hour

*The employee of this position agrees to adhere to guidelines set forth in the faculty handbook as an extension of the agreement for employment.

REQUIRED PERSONAL QUALITIES

The Office Assistant shall:

  • Have received Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior.
  • Believe that the Bible is God’s Word and standard for faith and daily living.
  • Be a Christian role model (Luke 6:40) in attitude, speech, and actions toward others. This includes being committed to God’s Biblical standards for moral conduct.
  • Be a member in good standing at a local, evangelical church, which has a Statement of Faith in agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith.
  • Show by example the importance of Scripture study and memorization, prayer, witnessing, and unity in the Body of Christ.
  • Be in whole-hearted agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education.
  • Demonstrate the character qualities of enthusiasm, courtesy, kindness, self-control, flexibility, integrity, gratitude, perseverance, and punctuality.
  • Meet everyday stress with emotional stability, objectivity, and optimism.
  • Maintain a personal appearance that is a Christian role model of cleanliness, modesty, good taste, and in agreement with school policy.
  • Use acceptable English in written and oral communication. Speak with clear articulation.
  • Respectfully submit and be loyal to constituted authority.
  • Notify the administration of any policy he/she is unable to support.
  • Recognize that all school information should be considered and treated with confidentiality.
  • Make an effort to appreciate and understand the uniqueness of the FRCS community.
  • Recognize the importance for accuracy and completeness in work.
  • Be self-motivated. Always looking for tasks that need to be accomplished.
  • Observe the Matthew 18 principle in conflict resolution.
  • Be willing to be involved in the FRCS community. (attend events, performances)

JOB FUNCTIONS

The Office Assistant shall:

  • Be one of the faces of the FRCS. The assistant will answer the phone and greet and assist all guests.
  • Recognize the need for good public relations and use professional customer service skills and treat others with friendliness, dignity, and consideration.
  • Maintain student attendance records. Call parents to check on students as needed.
  • Assist with first aid needs and medication dispensing.
  • Properly document all provided medical services as instructed by the school nurse
  • Coordinate student needs with school nurse
  • Assist with student needs. (Calling parents, missing lunches/homework, etc.)
  • Complete various tasks including copying, filing, laminating, and grading.
  • Assist teachers and other staff members.
  • Assist with drop-off, pick-up, recess and lunch duties.
  • Maintain supplies in the copy room, lunchroom, and printer areas.
  • Prepare weekly Elementary Notes.
  • Print weekly attendance report.
  • Be detail-oriented when doing all tasks.
  • Be familiar with all emergency procedures and assist in any emergency situation.

This is not an exhaustive list as other projects will come up throughout the school year.

ADDITIONAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

During emergencies the Office Assistant:

  • Must be able to quickly summon help when an emergency arises either in the classroom, gym, activity room, or on the playground.
  • Must be willing to apply emergency first aid and help with emergency cleaning tasks.

Building and site requirements of Office Assistant:

  • He/She must be able to climb or descend the stairs to reach offices and classrooms in the case of elevator failure.
  • He/She must be able to perform light physical activity without becoming easily exhausted or prone to breathing difficulties.

We believe that it is the responsibility of the school to intentionally provide access, create support, and nurture belonging for each student. We seek a special education assistant who is able to assist teachers in providing differentiated and modified content to learners who have special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have experience and training in special education or a background working with individuals with unique behavioral or learning needs.

Preference is given to candidates with prior experience teaching or working with youth, and ideal candidates would have formal academic training in the field of special education.

Wage is commensurate with experience, and starts at $15/hour. The RISE Educational Assistant works roughly 30 hours per week from August through May, except during school breaks. This position is open for the 2026/2027 school year.

Do you have a passion for senior high students and the ability to coach 6-person volleyball? Are you interested in an experience that gives you the opportunity to not only coach students but mentor them as well? If so, we may have just the opportunity for you. Front Range Christian School is looking for senior high girls JV and C-Team volleyball coaches. The girls practice and train over the summer with the season beginning in the fall.

These positions are open for the 2026 season. FRCS offers a great work environment. Our coaches are given the opportunity to mentor students, and serve the community alongside them to be a model of Christ’s love to the world. Our goal is to raise up Christian scholars, and our mission is to partner with the Christian home and the church in training children for life and equipping them to impact the world for Christ.

These are both stipend positions ($1500 for the JV coach and $1000 for the C-Team coach).
