SUMMARY:Junior High Spring Dance
DESCRIPTION:FRCS students grades 7-8 are invited to the Neon Nights Junior High Spring Dance on Friday\, April 4. Students are encouraged to wear neon colored clothing and accessories and things that will glow under a black light. Some glow-in-the-dark tape and face paint will be available at the event. \nTickets are $10 per student (which will be sold during lunch beginning March 31) and $15 at the door. Snacks and games are provided at the event. \nThis event is only for FRCS students (no guests). \nParents who are interested in volunteering to help at the dance should email Leah Pirozzi.

DESCRIPTION:Juniors will visit the Colorado Christian University (CCU) campus this day\, either driving themselves or in small groups (students may also email Miss Downs to secure a spot on the school van to ride together). \nStudents will be treated to a tour\, lunch on campus\, and a presentation in which they are welcome to ask questions about the school and college entry. Even if students are considering other schools\, this is a great opportunity to get a taste of college life with others in their class. \nThis is Senior Class Photo Day and students grades 7-10 are taking the Iowa Assessments.

DESCRIPTION:Seniors will take their class photo together on this day. Seniors do not have school this day\, but are expected to meet for the class photo. We encourage students to plan something together before or after the photo. \nThis year’s photo will be taken at Fly’n B Park in Highlands Ranch (2910 Plaza Dr.\, Highlands Ranch 80129). We’ll meet near the house (near the northeast corner of the park). Seniors should arrive by 1:30pm and are encouraged to carpool because\, while there are two parking lots\, they are small.

DESCRIPTION:Parents\, you are invited to Junior High DIVE Community Day. Eighth grade students have worked really hard on their DIVE projects\, and we would love for you to come and celebrate them with us. \nWhat is DIVE?\nAll 8th grade students take a class called DIVE. DIVE stands for Dynamic Inquiry of Virtuous Experiences and is intended for students to explore different ideas that bring them life. The thinking is that students will be more engaged in meaningful learning when they are given the freedom to choose topics that matter to them. Through these experiences\, we believe that students will learn important skills to prepare them for high school\, but more importantly become more like the person the LORD created them to be. \nWhat is DIVE Day?\nDIVE day serves as an extension of our Junior High Community days which exist to build the community between families of 7th and 8th grade students. These past 10 weeks\, students have been engaging with these very ideas and experiences. DIVE day serves as an opportunity for them to teach us what they have learned about their topic and themselves. \nSchedule\n\n\n\n8:40-8:55am\nHomeroom (JH go for attendance)\n\n\n8:55-9:35am\nJunior High Chapel (parents are welcome and encouraged to attend)\n\n\n9:45-10:35am\n8th grade setup; 7th grade breakout; junior high parents breakout\n\n\n10:45-11:35am\nGroup 1 presentations (in PAC)\, followed by a showcase in the gym\n\n\n11:45am-12:25pm\nLunch in the Commons (Qdoba); parents are invited to join us\, as this is a great time to encourage 8th graders before their presentations.
