Finding hope in the midst of mental health challenges
Join us for a new support group at Front Range Christian School: Overcome is for parents with children struggling with anxiety, depression, or bi-polar disorders or for adults struggling with those same issues. Co-led by Suzanne Eitzen of FRCS and Tim Ward of Cornerstone Counseling, the group will explore the curriculum from My Quiet Cave, a local ministry in Denver.
Overcome is a 9-week group study about experiencing the abundant life of Christ as a Child of God in the midst of mental illness. The class is designed for people who are personally afflicted by anxiety, depression, and bipolar or supporting someone who is. Participants work through study guides, which provide tangible resources, coping tools and hope in the midst of their suffering. The group structure emphasizes community, as members meet weekly to engage in conversation and discuss the workbook material.
The group will meet for nine weeks beginning January 16, 2019, in the Falcon Discovery Center (FDC) of the elementary campus. The cost of the group is $25 per person, which covers the cost of the workbook and light snacks and drinks for the group. Payment should be brought to the first group meeting, checks may be made payable to My Quiet Cave. Child care is available (cost is $11 per child per week).
If you or someone you know is struggling with one of these mental disorders, or who has a child struggling with one of these disorders, we encourage you to register for this support group using the form below. (Please note that the group is limited to 15 participants.) Find encouragement and strength to help you and your children reach their full potential!
