Art Teacher – Jr/Sr High, Part-time

Are you passionate about teaching art to youth? Are you creative and imaginative with a desire to foster those qualities in teens? If so, we have a part-time position opening that might be a great fit for you. Front Range Christian School is looking for a part-time art teacher to start in the Fall of 2019. The position will teach all junior high students senior high students choosing to take elective arts classes.

Ideal applicants will be an active and passionate follower of Jesus Christ and have a calling to serve Christ in the classroom; demonstrate a high degree of creativity and a history of fostering students’ love and appreciation of art and design; have prior experience in establishing creative environments whereby art and design is explored, discovered, and analyzed both in and out of the classroom; and possess knowledge of art and design concepts, a variety of media and materials, and a broad range of art history. A Bachelor’s degree in teaching, art, design, or related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. A Colorado or ACSI teaching certificate is also required. As this is a teaching position, qualified applicants should have experience in the classroom, including lesson plans, grading, curriculum development, and more.

The Jr/Sr High Art Teacher is part of a dynamic Fine Arts team who will help grow and build on our strong arts programs. The teacher will instruct students in the following areas:

creating works of art through drawing, mixed media, painting, ceramics, digital art, and sculpture, including the techniques, processes, tools, media, materials, and equipment involved in creating such works
art history and the major artists who have influenced art over the years
how to interpret the meaning of works of art and evaluate them using critical analysis
elements of art and principles of design using knowledge of structures and function

ECE Teacher

Do you have a passion for children ages 3-5? Do you believe that teaching these young children will impact the rest of their lives? Are you hoping to teach in a Christ-based setting for a career filled with joy and true purpose? If so, you might be the new ECE professional teacher we’re looking for! Front Range Christian School has a rapidly growing preschool program that is looking for a new professional ECE teacher to join us in preschool or PreK in the fall of 2018. Applicants should believe in Christian education and have a passion for making a difference with children ages 3-5. The hours needed are 7:45am-1pm. Spanish Teacher – Jr/Sr High, full-time

Do you have a passion for the Spanish Language and the people who speak it? Do you have a passion for sharing the beauty of language and culture with youth to equip them for life in a multicultural world? If so, you might be the person we’re looking for!

Front Range Christian School has an opening for a full-time Spanish teacher at our junior/senior high campus. Specifically, the right candidate will teach two or three sections of Spanish I (primarily 8th-grade students) and two sections of Spanish II (primarily 9th-grade students).

We’re looking for someone who has the gift of teaching, who is passionate about God and His people, and whose enthusiasm and passion for language and culture will inspire and challenge our students. Qualified applicants should have a bachelor’s degree (a language/education major is preferred, but not required). A minimum of two years of experience in the classroom is preferred, as is a Colorado State or ACSI teaching license. The successful candidate will have a strong oral proficiency in Spanish and a familiarity with a comprehensible input/TPRS approach to Spanish instruction. He or she will begin teaching in the fall of 2019.

Tech Director/PAC Coordinator

Do you have a passion for youth and sound engineering? Are you one who is comfortable in the sound booth has a desire to mentor teens and share with them your passion for worshiping God through technology? If you answered yes, Front Range Christian School has a great opportunity for you. We seek a Technical Director for our junior and senior high school campus. The position is open for the 2019/2020 school year and provides incredible opportunities to mentor students grades 7-12 while being a part of a thriving arts program. This is a part-time position with responsibilities sometimes occurring during the school day and others occurring in the evenings or on weekends.

Qualified candidates must exhibit a thriving relationship with Jesus Christ, have extensive experience running digital A/V equipment, be forward thinking in planning and improving that technology, and demonstrate the ability to teach and train students in these same areas. The ideal candidate will be organized, be able to think quickly on his or her feet, and handle pressure well.

While not an exhaustive nor complete list of responsibilities, the Tech Director/PAC Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Managing and providing technical support for our performing arts center (PAC)
    • Coordination of complex and full schedule of the facility
    • Maintenance of A/V technology
    • Provide support and training for events in the center
  • Collaborating with the Fine Arts staff on productions and concerts
  • Coordinating chapel services for the junior/senior high
