2019 District 4 Baseball Champions: FRCS Falcons

What a fun and crazy day Saturday, May 11, was.

Varsity Baseball was plying in the district tournament at Denver Christian Field. We were the number 1 seed in our district and faced off against the number 4 seed Clear Creek. FRCS pulled out the win 1-0 with a pitching dual! Connor Courtney was on the mound and pitched lights out for the Falcons.

We then went on to the the district championship game with Limon in the afternoon and the Falcons came away with a 5-1 win.

FRCS is your District 4 Champions!

Congratulations, Falcons!

UPDATE: FRCS is the 5th seed in regional playoff action. We will face off against Wiggins (12th seed) on Friday, May 17, in Pueblo. Because we are the higher seed, we will be the “home” team for this game. If FRCS wins this game, we will go on to play the winner of the Yuma (4th seed) vs. Clear Creek (13th seed) game at the same location at 2:30pm. Go, Falcons!

Please remember that playoff games are CHSAA games, so there are no free passes for admission. Entry fees for these games are $8 for adults and $7 for students (K-12) and seniors (60+).

Connor Courtney pitched lights out in the first district playoff game on Saturday, May 11.
