It’s with great pride that we share that FRCS Senior Drew Lloyd is a member of the 2019 Class of Daniels Scholars!
The founder of the Daniels Fund, Bill Daniels, valued strength of character, leadership potential, giving back to the community, academic performance and promise, and well-roundedness. This scholarship is available to graduating seniors in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming, who demonstrate those qualities. This year, the group of applicants was narrowed to just 218 recipients, including our very own Drew Lloyd!
This scholarship is a huge blessing to the Lloyd family, as it covers everything for all four years of his college career: tuition, room and board, books, fees, and a computer.
Drew has committed to Colorado Christian University and, in addition to this scholarship, has been offered a spot to play on CCU’s baseball team. Congratulations, Drew!
Drew’s parents shared the following when they told us the news:
“Thank you to all of you at FRCS who have influenced, challenged and led Drew in becoming the man God wants him to be. We are amazed at God’s goodness to us over the years in who He has brought into each of our kid’s lives to help point the way. Thank you to FRCS teachers and staff who have been those people for Drew and who personally walk beside our kids as they discover who they are meant to be in Christ. God is good!”
It is such an honor to be a part of the lives that God brings to our school. It’s humbling to see these young men and women grow up to be the Christian Scholars we know they can be and to know that we played a small part of that journey. May God continue to be glorified through the life of Drew and all our graduating Seniors!
