We’re excited to share with you that FRCS Senior Rae Richards was recently honored in a juried pop-up exhibition with the Art Student League of Denver. Following are details about the honor written by Emily Potwin and several photos from the interactive piece taken by Sylvia Aalund (also an FRCS Senior).
“On December 14th, Rae Richards received an award for ‘Most Creative’ in the Art Student League of Denver’s juried pop-up exhibition, titled Mostly Monochrome Red. Over 50 Denver teen artists showcased the diverse talent of the city. Rae was selected due to her introspective, original, and interactive piece. The interaction allowed the participant to smash a ceramic red heart with a written message about a cause they deeply cared for yet felt was out of their control.
“This cathartic piece won the hearts of the teen committee members and secured her place with the other top ranked artists. Excellent work, Rae.”Emily Potwin, Exhibition Juror
