cyberbullying

We do not have specific statistics for FRCS students’ experiences with cyberbullying, but a new study from Pew Research Center shows that 59% of American teens report having been bullied online, and a great majority of teens (90%) believe that it’s a problem.

One encouraging  statistic from the study shows that 59% of teens also believe that parents are doing a good (or excellent) job of addressing cyberbullying. Other groups, however, were not ranked well for their efforts; these include law enforcement, teachers, bystanders, social media sites, and politicians.

Overall, it’s an interesting study that reinforces the need for FRCS’s ongoing commitment to raise up students who are responsible and godly digital citizens.
