Mrs. Joan Moxon, from 2012On December 23, 2017, Mrs. Joan Moxon lost her brief, but brave battle against lymphoma.

Mrs. Moxon served as the Elementary Art Teacher at Front Range Christian School from August of 1995 through October 2013. Along with inspiring young students’ creativity, she also organized an annual art show of FRCS Elementary Art in the children’s section of the Jefferson County Public Library in Columbine during her tenure with the school. She was also known to find teachable moments in her interactions with students to not only remind them of God’s love, but also to instruct them in what His love should mean for our interactions with each other. Mrs. Moxon was more than an art teacher. She was a mentor, a guide, and a friend.

The Celebration of Life service is January 11, 10am, at The Rock Community Church. For her obituary, and more information, please visit the Newcomer Family web page (and be sure to sign the guestbook to share memories, thoughts, and prayers for the family). More information will be added to this post as it becomes available.

Our prayers are with the family. While we are deeply saddened, we are thankful she is now resting in the arms of our Lord.
