Biography

Educational Background
BS in Elementary Education, Shenandoah University and Master of Theology (ThM), Dallas Theological Seminary. I served as Executive Director of Youth for Christ/Campus Life, Northern Virginia; was ordained on May 12, 1989 at Fellowship Bible Church, North, Plano, Texas; and have served as a Youth Pastor. My non-vocational ministry experience includes: Project Manager, Wells Fargo Home Equity and City Manager, Stockton, KS.

Why I Teach
I knew as early as my teen years that God has uniquely gifted me to speak and teach. As I received formal training as a Christian educator I was able to focus my gifting in the area of youth ministry. My heart's desire is to pass along to the next generation the challenges of living for God in a culture that has largely ignored or marginalized Him. I want to equip young men and women to face the assaults against a Christian worldview with confidence and boldness. It's a cliche, but when I teach I feel God's pleasure.

Why I Teach at Front Range Christian
I came into contact with Front Range Christian when my daughter was preparing to enter 1st grade, and I was the Pastor of Student Ministries at a local church. I had met several parents who had their children at FRCS and they spoke very highly of the experience they were having. So I enrolled my daughter at FRCS as a first grader and never looked back! She is now in 6th grade and rarely a week goes by when she doesn't tell me how much she loves being here. As a single dad (widowed) I am indebted to the teachers who have been speaking into my daughter's heart and how they've modeled what it means to love God and love others. I have also experienced an amazing community of believers at this school and have been on the receiving end of their support and encouragement in the parenting process.

My Passions
My passion is to train up the next generation in order that they might impact the world for Christ. All of my life's experiences as I've journeyed with God are not in vain. My passion is to share life with students and to impart to them the truth of God's Word and His passion for them.

My Hobbies
I enjoy video editing, home improvement projects, playing guitar (and trumpet in the musicals) and barbecuing.

I have one child, Haley, who is currently in the 6th grade.  I am a single dad, having lost my wife of 10 years (Cindy) to colon cancer in 2002.
