Experience
Seems like just a short time ago I was a tender 12 year boy sitting at Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je listening to a speaker covering Romans 12:1-2 and explaining how it was only reasonable for me to consider giving my life to Christ for full time service considering all the had done for me. On July 4, 1964 I made that decision formal. Now after 34 years of being in full time service I can say that was one of the top three decisions of my life – after my salvation and meeting Susan, the love of my life. Where God guides; HE provides. God has allowed me to teach for 23 years at two Christian High Schools here in Colorado and at a small bible college in Wisconsin for 10 years.
Why I Teach
“Here I stand, I can do no other”. I firmly believe He has placed a love for young people in my heart and a desire to share the wonders of His world to them. I believe God called me into His service and to do anything else would be to deny His leading in my life. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I spent a year and a half in the secular world. I enjoyed being an EMT and serving those in deep physical need, but I had no spiritual input. I was not allowed to discuss biblical things unless the patient brought them up first. Being out of the classroom for that time left me hollow.
Why I Teach at Front Range Christian
Why do I teach here: only by many amazing things that HE orchestrated! I had applied for a prof of sciences at CCU for a couple of years [and at many other colleges and schools], but since CCU has a close relationship with FRCS, the administration found that I was looking for a position and gave me a call. God guided and provided in many things and I’m here and once again I feel like I’m in a place where I can make a difference in some ones eternity.
My Passion
My passion is to point people to the God’s word and God’s world. God revealed Himself through both. The designs in nature are reflective of the Designer, the laws of nature were given by the Lawgiver, the power of the creation is a minor view of the power of the Creator.
My Hobbies
Anything that resembles fishing. I long to get back into the high country and hear an elk bugle on a frosty fall morning. I had to sell my motorcycle to be able to move, oh for the day when I can get back on two wheels and ride the twisty mountain roads.
