FRCS Students Tyler Davis (9th grade) and Mason Stowell (3rd grade) represented our country well last week at the WKC World Karate Championships in Cadiz, Spain, and each brought home a bronze medal! Mason earned his in the 12 and under Extreme Forms category and Tyler earned his in the 13-17 Musical Weapons category. They were members of Team USA that numbered 40 plus competitors from all over the country. Competitors at the tournament numbered in the hundreds from countries all over the world.

Both boys attend Revolution Martial Arts located in Pierce Street Village. All nine members on the Revolution Competition Team, led by Mr. Kevin Kowalczik (who also teaches a martial arts elective at FRCS), medaled for Team USA! We were so proud to sing along as our national anthem was played repeatedly at the awards ceremony.

Be sure to congratulate Mason and Tyler if you see them around campus, all their hard work and hours of training were worth it.
