We are pleased to announce that Jacki Barker, whose practicum was in Guatemala this year, is the winner of the 2011 Practicum Photo Contest. The entries in the 2011 Practicum Photo Contest brought a wide range of styles and photos−almost as varied as the practicum opportunities themselves. Jacki’s richly artistic interpretation of the purpose and significance of practicum really stood among a group of fantastic entries.

Receiving an honorable mention for capturing the Colorado Dude Ranch practicum on film is Leif Larsen.

Practicum is required for all junior and senior high students at Front Range Christian School. It affords students with opportunities for global learning and Christ-like service in hands-on settings. Practicum is just one of the ways that FRCS is preparing students for life and equipping them to impact the world for Christ.

Entrants photos will be on display in the junior/senior high school this coming academic year, and are available for viewing from the online gallery links below.

Congratulations to Jacki and all of the FRCS students who participated in practicum in 2011!
