Front Range Christian School continues to academically outperform the pack. In a recent comparative study, FRCS graduates scored higher on the ACT than many of both their private and public school peers. Graduates of the class of 2010 scored an average of 25.3 on the ACT test. In comparison, Denver Christian averaged 24.4, Valor Christian averaged 24.0, Lutheran High School - Parker averaged 22.2, Columbine High School averaged 21.0, and the Colorado State average was 20.6.

“Front Range Christian School has been pursuing academic excellence for 17 years,” commented Dave Sherman, Executive Director of Front Range Christian School. “These numbers are encouraging, but not surprising. When we tracked our students who had stayed at FRCS from 3rd grade until graduation, their average ACT score was a 27. Many families make the mistake of assuming that if class time includes biblical integration, and a focus on spiritual formation, Christian schools must sacrifice academic excellence. Our students, by the grace of God, are being prepared both academically and spiritually and are graduating poised to impact the world for Christ.”
Next year, FRCS graduates from the class of 2011 will be attending colleges such as Whitworth University, University of Colorado, and Montana State University. This year’s salutatorian, Tori Griffiths, will attend the University of Alabama on a full-tuition scholarship. She received both the Presidential Scholarship and the Engineering Leadership Scholarship. And valedictorian Shelby Downs will attend Westmont College, where she received the President’s Scholarship, valued at $14,000/year for four years.
