“In student council our current focus is homecoming—getting everything ready to go. We represent the student body, so we try to listen to what people say and what they want for the school. We try to apply those ideas.
“I’m the treasurer, so I’m in charge of the money that comes and goes.
“I like student council. I chose to be involved because I thought it would be fun, and I liked it when I was involved in in middle school. I’m good with money because my parents have been teaching me to do my own finances since elementary school, so the treasurer position is a good fit for my abilities.
“Serving the student body in this way is really fun.”
