“I’ve been in the theater since I can remember. My dad did theater in high school, and he grew up singing in a choir. When I grew up, it just seemed natural for me to be in choir and theater, too. I do theater because it just fits me. I’ve been in CYT [Christian Youth Theater] since I was a kid.
“Before now, I’d never had the lead in a play. In Alice in Wonderland I was the Cheshire Cat, and that’s the biggest role I think I’ve ever had. This role is completely different. It’s a lot of work, but I love Dolly, my character.
“Theater at Front Range is fun. It’s competitive, but it’s not ‘mean-competitive.’ Everybody is really encouraging and it’s a lot of fun.”
