Philosophy

Basketball is a microcosm of life. Like any sport, it is merely a vehicle that provides the training grounds for student-athletes to absorb essential spiritual and physical qualities.

Coaches

Varsity Head Coach: Mike Anderson

• BA from University of Idaho/South Dakota State University
• All-american high school athlete, student-athlete at collegiate level
• Coached basketball at youth level and have run and assisted in numerous camps and clinics

I chose to coach at Front Range Christian School because it provides an opportunity to use the “Game of Basketball” as a platform to minister and physically develop student-athletes. FRCS student-athletes possess an engrained spiritual base that allows coaches to reinforce/instill values and influence character in preparation for the “Game of Life”.

Assistant Coach: Dave Hill

• BS in Chemical and Petroleum Refining from Colorado School of Mines; Minor in Economics
• Played high school basketball at Cherry Creek; invited to walk on at Mines, but knew I needed to focus on academics
• Helped coach youth teams and junior high teams as my children played at the different levels; I also refereed basketball for many years

Athletics is just one more area in which a young person can grow in character, discipline and life skills. I enjoy being a part of their lives and appreciate the opportunity to assist in this area.
