After a long search, we are excited to announce that we have found our new head volleyball coach and head girls basketball coach! Welcome to the FRCS family, Coach Moore (volleyball) and Coach Hiltman (basketball)!

Varsity Volleyball: Coach Jon Moore

Coach Moore joins us with an impressive resume in volleyball. In his own words:

Hello Falcon family; my name is Jon Moore, and I'd like to introduce myself to you as your new Varsity volleyball coch. I realize that you are coping with your previous coach getting cancer and having to leave, and I’m sorry to be coming in under those circumstances. We will honor him by building on the strong foundation he has laid with you and praying for him and his family throughout the year. I’m excited to get to know all of you, and humbled to have this opportunity to invest into your lives through the great game of volleyball.

Some background information: I am married with four children. One daughter is serving as a leader for YWAM in New Zealand; my son is studying filmmaking at Grand Canyon University in AZ; my middle daughter is going to Simpson University, CA to study World Missions and redshirt for their basketball team this coming year. My youngest daughter will be a sophomore in high school this year and is planning to come to Front Range Christian this year.

I was born and raised in Colorado and went to Cherry Creek High School. I graduated from Fort Lewis College with a BA in Business Administration and a minor in Colorado histoy. After college I started getting serious about volleyball and played on some double AA men's teams that were very competitive as well as various co-ed teams for about 10 years.

For the last two years, I served as the varsity head coach at Jim Elliot Christian School, and I coached at NBC volleyball camp for the last two years, earning the title of Master Teacher this summer.

I will be setting up a preseason volleyball camp for high school before school starts to get to know the girls and work on skills and start conditioning. I will also have a parent player meeting to go over my expectations, goals, and volleyball philosophy. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you and having a great season. Go, Falcons!

In two years at Jim Elliot, Coach Moore compiled a 24-17 record, boasted a winning season both years, and made it to playoffs both years.

We are excited to have Coach Moore here at FRCS!

Varsity Girls Basketball: Coach Dave Hiltman

Coach Hiltman joins our basketball program with 20 years experience. In his own words:

“I was blessed to serve 20 years as the girls basketball coach at Jim Elliot Christian School. I am excited to have the opportunity to continue to impact lives of these young ladies at FRS. My goals as a coach is to help these ladies grow in their faith, prepare for adulthood, and develop a passion for sorts. It is my prayer that they will consider their involvement on the basketball team to be one of the most rewarding and memorable experiences they had in high school.”

At Jim Elliot Coach Hiltman compiled a 287-120 record, had a winning record 19 out of 20 seasons, was a Regional qualifier ten out of twenty seasons, and won five league titles in 14 years.

We are excited to have Coach Hiltman at FRCS!
