A gift from the Senior Class of 2017

I feel like they aren't just invested in my academic career, they genuinely care about my life and my well-being. And they let us be so involved in their lives too, which makes the relationships so much more special.

~

They teach us lessons in and out of the classroom—they actively partake in our lives.

~

I can be silly (joke about dinosaurs and make up stupid nicknames) one moment and the next moment have a deep discussion about my personal life or things like theology and ideologies with them, which is so unique and worthwhile.

~

They are very relatable and try to apply things in the classroom to real life. They don’t seem like they are teaching us because they have to, they are teaching because they want to and they’re passionate about our learning.

~

The dedication and time they put into preparing things for us is awesome, and everything is so well-thought-out and meaningful. I definitely appreciate that.

~

They are friendly and relatable, which is a lot different than teachers can be at other schools. My public school friends complain about their teachers not being approachable or kind, so I’m grateful for that in the teachers here at Front Range.

~

They don’t have unnecessary rules, and if you stay within their rules you can still be relaxed and learn a lot in a fun environment. It’s a good balance.

~

They have your back, and are willing to help with anything you need, which is awesome because they have so much more life experience than we do. They are the kind of people you can just sit and have a Vanilla Coke with, without feeling judged.

~

They understand, listen, and try to help you grow spiritually. They don’t try to forcefully impose anything on you, they just want to help you grow.

~

#relatable and I'm #blessed by them

~

They are fun and excited about teaching, and although they understand that we aren’t always interested in what they’re teaching, they use their passion and different techniques to keep us engaged.

~

I love how they are very genuine. They don’t pretend to be someone they’re not, and they are willing to relate to us in the good things and bad things.

~

The teachers themselves have so much tangible passion about what they are teaching, which flows into everything that they do in and out of the classroom.

~

They see me as a person, not just another name on their roster.

~

I appreciate how they go above and beyond to make their daily lessons interesting, especially when us seniors are losing interest so much.

~

They go out of their way in order to see us succeed, giving us freedom to be ourselves inside and out of the classroom. I have personally grown relationships with several of the teachers and have shared life with them and they have openly shared about their lives with me too, which you don’t see very often at other schools.

~

Sometimes I tell my friends from other schools that I’m going to my teacher’s house later, and they are kind of horrified. I think it’s awesome that I go to a school where that is a normal thing.

~

I can be totally honest with them and trust them with anything. They are real with me, and their experiences are really similar to mine sometimes, which helps give me hope and comfort to know that they have been able to get through those similar things.

~

I appreciate how they actually live out the things that they tell us to do. They don’t act like hypocrites; they’re understanding about the the crap in their own lives and ours.

~

They exemplify a life of striving after Christ in the classroom, on the sidelines, in the lunchroom and in the hallways. They are some of my biggest role models.

~

I like when a teacher has a sense of humor and doesn’t take everything so seriously. It establishes great relationships when we can laugh together in the middle of a lesson.

~

I like how they leave the learning up to the students instead of forcing ideas and their own beliefs on us.

~

They push us beyond our personal boundaries. That sucks sometimes, but I have learned to appreciate it so much. And they are always willing to give up time and energy to work with us and help us with anything, whether its school-related, personal, or just silly and fun.

~

I love how they are willing to take the time to get to know me, so that they can best teach me and care for me as a person. They make us feel important.

~

They are always open to listen to my concerns and problems, and they give advice that actually helps. Honestly, they are more like mentors than simply teachers.

~

I can honestly say that my teachers at Front Range have played a tremendous role in forming the person that I am. I will be forever grateful for the way that they, day in and day out, have not only taught me to love learning, but also to love Christ and love others.

~

Sometimes they wear cool Napolean hats and sombreros, and I like that.

Thank you for all that you do for us—for the time, energy, and effort that you give for each one of us daily. We know you do not hear it enough, because we do not say it enough. So thank you. We wouldn't be the people and the class we are today without you.
