Sara Mathews
Educational background and experience:
Bachelor degree in zoology. Currently working on Masters in Education. Have been teaching for 6 years. Have taught biology, physical science, French, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Trigonometry/Pre-Calculus 1, and Trigonometry/Pre-Calculus 2, Algebra ½, and Math 87.
Current job includes college and career advisor, math teacher, National Honor Society Advisor, Textbook coordinator, and Math Department Chair.
Why do you teach?
I love to help kids “get it!”
Why do you teach at FRCS?I love that we all have the same goals in teaching kids. We all absolutely want the best outcome for all of our students.
What is your passion in life?
My children are my passion.
What are your hobbies and other interests?I play the piano and work with clay. I love to read.
