Jennifer Boyd
Educational background and experience:I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Dual BA in elementary education and special education, focusing on severe and profound disabilities, learning disabilites and ADD/ADHD.I had student teaching and practicum assigments in learning disabled, severe and profound, ADD/ADHD and regular fourth grade classrooms.I substituted for 2 years while I was in college and also provided respite care for children and adults with severe and profound disabilities.
Why do you teach?I teach because I believe that God has called me to this form of ministry. Learning was not always easy for me and I wanted to help those who have struggles. I knew that I wanted to work in the special education field when I coached Special Olympics and saw how God reveals himself in people with earthly disabilities. My heart has been changed by God to see the heart of every child rather then their abilities. I also feel as though I am doing my small part in furthering the kingdom of God and that is what we are all called to do.
