"We are grateful for such a wonderful school where we have the freedom to stand for what the Word of God teaches and to have such wonderful teachers who love and care for the students to allow them that environment to grow in." FRCS Parent

With kiddos in grades Kindergarten through 6th in our elementary program, we've got a blend of smart students, average students, and students who struggle academically. We view all of our students as unique gifts from God. From gifted and talented students to those enrolled in our NILD program (National Institute of Learning Development), we have athletes, artists, comedians, strong-willed, tender-hearted, you get the picture. Foreign exchange students, missionary kids, PK's, transfer students from public schools, homeschool, other private schools, and students moving here from out-of-state/country. There is only one way into heaven, but there is more than one way into FRCS. Your family will feel welcome here and we will do everything we can to help them thrive!

Science
As creator, God’s fingerprints are seen in every facet of scientific study. To attempt to teach science apart from the recognition of God’s handiwork would be to miss the truth. Students of science will develop an understanding of their responsibility as stewards of the earth.

Social Studies
An understanding of how God has worked in the lives of all people down through the ages is critical to a student’s ability to actively engage society. Kindergarten through 4th grade social studies focuses on the role of community and builds to an understanding of “state” within U.S. regions. Fifth grade focuses on an overview of U.S. history, while 6th grade introduces students to the world beyond their own country.

Reading
Through the teaching of reading skills, reasoning, vocabulary, comprehension and fluency, students become independent readers. By exposure to different genres and authors, students are introduced to other cultures, and acquire an appreciation of literature. Students are taught how to effectively read and evaluate non-fiction material for information and content, and to sift all knowledge through the filter of God’s Word.

Language Arts
Students are introduced to basic concepts of language using a building-block approach throughout their elementary years. These language arts concepts include grammar, composition, capitalization, punctuation and spelling.

Bible
The primary focus of the Bible course is the application of biblical truths in the lives of students. Our goal is that students will develop a growing, maturing personal relationship with God, and will demonstrate discernment in life choices through a biblical worldview. Students will be involved in a weekly chapel service.

Math
The primary objectives of math will be introduced, reviewed and mastered sequentially as students develop mentally and cognitively. Our goal is that students will obtain grade-appropriate mastery of each mathematical principle.

Music
The study of music at FRCS exists to guide students to develop their musical abilities and talents to honor and worship our Lord Jesus Christ. Students are exposed to music history, theory, performance techniques, and praise and worship.

Physical Education
Our goal is to develop a life-long habit of physical activity by teaching skills related to endurance, flexibility, motor skills and fundamental skills related to games and sports. Teamwork, appreciation of the gifts of others and sportsmanship are all key in developing a sense of one body working toward a common goal.

"I wonder how many disciples of your students and their disciples, and theirs, and theirs, and theirs... will greet you at the gates of heaven? An army of hearts who turned to Jesus because of what you do. God is surely pleased with you, and we appreciate all you do."  - an encouraging note from a FRCS parent to a FRCS teacher

We love our teachers! You will too. Step into our classrooms and observe how they honor God by providing a challenging, yet nurturing environment for kiddos to thrive. You'll notice their extraordinary ability to connect with their students with a healthy blend of grace and correction. Whether your child is gifted and talented, average, or struggles in the classroom, you'll be thankful to partner with our caring teachers who are devoted to helping each student realize his or her potential, academically, spiritually, and socially.

Since we value all of our students, we hire only Christian men and women who feel called to Christian education. Our teacher application process is quite rigorous and includes a two-part written application, a two-part formal interview, professional and spiritual references and a criminal background check. FRCS teachers are highly qualified for their teaching assignments; all have must earned at least a Bachelors degree and must hold a valid state teaching license or ACSI certificate. Our elementary staff includes a combined 180 years of teaching experience!   It's no wonder that many of our graduates pursue a teaching degree in college as a result of the godly influence of their teachers at FRCS.

“I want to love them unconditionally and challenge them to rise to their potential. I want to inspire them to take personal ownership of their spiritual and academic growth.”  - a FRCS elementary teacher
